As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping our customer data secure and private, we are excited to announce that Spekit has successfully completed its SOC 2 Type 2 audit.
Our audit was performed in partnership with Dansa D’Arata Soucia LLP (www.darata.com) to evaluate our processes for systems, employees and security controls. This certification is another proof point that our team at Spekit takes safety and security very seriously when it comes to our customers’ data.
System and Organizational Controls (SOC) represent a set of control frameworks created by the AICPA which independent auditors use to certify an organization’s systems and policies with respect to security. SOC-certified organizations have been audited by independent certified public accountants who have determined that the firm has appropriate safeguards and protocols in place.

The SOC 2 Type II certification specifically consists of a careful examination of Spekit’s internal control policies and practices over a specified period of time. Achieving this certification is another milestone in our aggressive security and compliance mission that demonstrates that Spekit has:
- A secure engineering development lifecycle
- Access controls that follow industry standards and best practices
- Detailed logging, monitoring and alerting
- Encryption controls that meet or exceed best practices
- Completion of external penetration testing
- Active monitoring for intrusion events and security incident handling
- Data backup and disaster recovery
Additionally, Spekit is the only digital adoption platform (DAP) that is a Salesforce-certified vendor with metadata integration directly to Salesforce. Spekit passed Salesforce’s robust security review before achieving our listing on the AppExchange.
